Aara Bhatia receives a Mayor’s Award
On 27th March WLAC’s young fundraising volunteer was granted a Young Achiever’s Award by the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea, Councellor Will Lane, for her extraordinary commitment to improving the lives of those who live, work, study and visit the borough.
The London Marathon 2025 - Sunday 27th April
Our very own Magnificent Seven will be running in aid of West London Action for Children on Sunday 27th April. We'll be cheering them on from the sidelines near Bermondsey Tube Station and meeting the finishers in Horse Guards Parade to congratulate them on their achievement. Good luck all!
Lightning Talks #7
On March 27th, Lightning Talks returned to Kite Studios. More than 40 supporters gathered to hear 6 speakers deliver their short talks on a variety of topics. Over £700 was raised towards our vital work. A big thank you to all who spoke so engagingly and to Auriol Herford, founder of Kite Studios, for welcoming us back again.
Heather Boxer, a life dedicated to WLAC
We are all feeling the loss of Heather Boxer's presence and leadership. These have been a difficult few months for us but Heather left a strong team and clear legacy to steer our work. Her empathy, professionalism, and hard work have been woven into the fabric of everything we do.
Meals & Reels at the Curry & Ceilidh Night
On the 1st February, the Hammersmith Club hosted its second evening of Scottish dancing and delicious curry, all to raise funds to support WLAC’s work and raised £6,346.
