Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School raise over £60,000 for WLAC!
A huge thank you to Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School (RPPS) in Hammersmith, who so kindly and generously supported WLAC during a two year partnership. RPPS is a local, lively, co-educational and non-selective independent school for children from 4 to 11 years old.
The parents and children at RPPS nominated WLAC as their chosen charity for a period of two academic years and thanks to the diligence, hard work and steadfast support from the headmaster Mr Carl Howes and his staff, the school raised a spectacular £60,000 towards West London Action for Children’s work with children and families in need in the community.
Just some of the many fund raising projects RPPS organised on our behalf during the two years were: the Christmas Fair and the mug decorating initiatives; dress-up days, where pupils came to school wearing the colours of WLAC to help raise awareness of mental health issues; Santa Fun Run; Parent Quiz Nights; Christmas Hamper donations including toys and games, and hand-made Christmas cards to be included in each box; sale of bags decorated by pupils; second-hand uniform sales and clothes swap evenings; Mr Howes running the London Marathon and cycling the RideLondon 100; and Christmas Bazaars. All of these activities contributed to a truly amazing fundraising total.
We are delighted to announce that our new academic partnership will be with Kew Green Preparatory School, that are also part of the Gardener Schools Group.
