Living Advent Calendar

In December, the Brook Green Events Group, jointly with the Friends of Brook Green, organised the first Living Advent Calendar in the area.

Forty houses, shops, schools and businesses came together to light up windows to create a trail round the neighbourhood.

One or more windows was ‘opened’ each day, until by December 24th the whole trail was lit up.

Families from near and far came to enjoy the ingenuity and creativity of all the beautiful windows.

There was a wonderful variety – from children’s artwork, to a view of Hammersmith Bridge in fairy lights, to bright Christmassy images, to 3D installations and even neon art.

This project added a very special touch to the Advent period in Brook Green and raised £800 for WLAC.

This year’s trail is already being planned so do contact us if you would like to be involved in 2022.
