WLAC Annual Quiz raises over £4,600 for WLAC

On Thursday, 25th November, the Brook Green Events Group hosted their Annual Quiz.

For the second year running, it was hosted remotely on Zoom, rather than in person, but was still a tremendous evening.

Teams gathered together, some in person, some via Zoom breakout rooms, from all across the UK, and we were even joined by team members overseas.

Jon Bird, our redoubtable quiz master, kept everyone challenged and entertained with his brain-twisting questions.

We all learnt something new - do you really know the flavour of a Jaffa cake? It may not be what you think!

Lots of teams did really well and it was a close fought evening.

Our scorer, Hettie Freeland, did a wonderful job of distributing the questions and collecting in the scores.

With thanks to all our wonderful guests, to Jon and Hettie, and to Finlay Brewer, who sponsored the evening, the Brook Green Events Group raised over £4,600 for WLAC. 

PS you may think the main flavours of a Jaffa Cake are orange and chocolate, but you'd be wrong! The main flavouring in the jam is actually apricot, but it does have an added hint of tangerine oil.
