Postcards Anon raises over £11,250

Thank you to everyone who supported our Postcards Anon sale at BBC Television Centre, helping to raise over £11,250 for WLAC.

We were delighted to see so many of you at the event and to meet new people who came for the first time. There was a fantastic array of over 700 original pieces of postcard-sized artwork on display and the silent auction proved very popular.

A thousand thank yous

Thank you to all of our artists who donated work, without whom the event simply could not take place. And a special thank you to our Postcards Anon Committee of fantastic volunteers who helped to organise, set up, process sales and tidy up afterwards.

Our thanks also go to BBC Television Centre and Stanhope for so generously hosting and to Philip Wooller for sponsoring the event. The wonderful Chelsea Pensioners donated their beautiful artwork, and also brightened everyone’s day up when they visited the exhibition. We were also treated to a glorious acapella performance by the Treblemakers, to whom we are very grateful. Additional thanks go to Harrison Stringer and Frank Leaviss, our young Duke of Edinburgh volunteers who helped on the Private View evening. And finally thank you to everyone who came and bought work, raising vital funds for WLAC.

Watch this space

We are planning to scan and upload the remaining postcards so if you would still like to purchase work or were unable to attend, please look out for an email with further details.
